Asking for U Bolts

Many times I’m waiting for my daughter outside the school till she finished her class. There are two places wherein parents and guardians are allowed to stay in the school while waiting for the kids. I don’t stay there instead staying in a food store besides the school; actually the food store is a house itself. Anyway, one day while talking to the employee of the said food store, a man came and asking for u bolts. I’m not familiar with this tool but I learned from the employee that her manager was currently having a project at the back of the house. Well, I didn’t ask for more and just returned to what we were talking earlier.

Using a Monitor Mount

I used to manage internet shop of my sister way back. She has almost 15 units and the entire monitor used was the old type so it’s bulky unlike today. I think this kind of monitor consumed much electricity and of course large space. Well, for almost 5 years I was away from stress in all the customers ;).

Anyway, I shared to my other blog that I had a problem with my internet connection for a week. So, for me to do my tasks online I need to visit internet shop. I’m surprised to see that almost all the shop I had rented didn’t use bulky monitor instead used of flat screen monitor. It’s good to know monitors are not put in the table anymore. This way kids won’t move the monitor back and forth.

Well, it’s good to know the changes but I hope the computer owners should also considering the use of well-built monitor mount to ensure the toughness of the monitor on the wall so no problem might occur.

What to Pack for a Snow-filled Holiday

Are you hoping to travel to the mountains this winter? If you haven’t booked your snow holiday already, now is a perfect time to do so. You can find some fabulous last minute deals on skiing holidays 2013 if you know where to look, and in the process, save a bundle.

When it comes to skiing and snowboarding holidays, many people always pack too much. Visitors who aren’t accustomed to vacations near the slopes often stuff their luggage with as much thermal gear as possible when a lot of it isn’t even needed. Take a look at this basic list of essentials and travel light this winter.

If you’re not a seasoned skier, be sure to hire as much equipment as possible when you arrive at the resort. This saves valuable space and weight in your baggage that would ordinarily be taking up by bulky items such as ski and board boots.

Thin warm layers are better than bulky knits, such as thermal long sleeved tops and thin warm t shirts. That way, if you do find yourself too hot, you can strip away a layer and still be warm. A nice waterproof jacket is the perfect outer layer.

Waterproof ski pants will help you to stay dry and warm. Long johns or leggings underneath will keep in the warmth too.

Plenty of thick socks are a must, as is a hat that covers your ears. Protect your eyes with goggles or sunglasses and take some nice warm waterproof gloves too.

Take some sunscreen – you are likely to get burnt on the slopes without it.

Whether you’re setting off as a family, a couple or you’re looking for group snowboarding deals, you’ll be sure to find a perfect offer online for you and your companions this winter.

First time in Manila Zoo,

Can you believe I’m already in my 30’s but this is my first time that I have visited Manila Zoo. I’m not from Manila so I think that’s the reason and when I was growing we didn’t have the chance to visit the place. But finally last month I had the chance to visit Manila zoo because daughter had field trip. Happy to know they will be going in Manila Zoo because as I said it’s our first time to visit the place plus daughter keeps on bugging me to visit zoo. We have zoo in our place but its only a mini zoo so only few animals are kept in the place and no huge animals like elephant, giraffe and other big animals.

Anyway, I was expecting much with the zoo because of what I have seen in other zoo (especially abroad) but I was so disappointed because we’ve only seen few animals. I was thinking were gonna see animals that we are not familiar. Well, I’m not sure if we already wandered everything of the Zoo and not sure if the animals we saw were the only animals they had but I’m still happy with the experience.

Here are some of the animals and our photos in Manila Zoo

There is a place for boating area

First time in my life holding crocodile and snake

Not sure with the name of this bird but its too heavy i’m almost give up but for the sake of souvenir photo, haha.

And oops let me share upon entering Manila Zoo we saw crowded people and learned that Be Careful with My Heart has shooting, for those who are not familiar it’s a show in ABS-CBN a daytime drama airing before It’s Showtime. So we have the chance to see the leading stars Jodie Santa Maria, Richard Yap (known as Papa Chen/Sir Chief) and Mutya Orquia.

The stars of Be Careful with My Heart; daughter had the chance to have photos with Mutya Orquia.

Will visit Liliw, Laguna

Tomorrow morning we will go to Liliw, Laguna once again. We go there once a month so expect me sharing post about Liliw most of the time. Anyway, as usual the purpose is not to unwind but to buy shoes and slippers for our small business. I hope the place is not affected by flood because I heard some of the places in Laguna also experienced monsoon weather that resulted to flood. So hoping Liliw, Laguna is not affected so we can do our business. At the same time, our expenses that will be used to go there will not go to waste. Its getting late I need to sleep now. We will leave our place early morning so see you in my next post. Have a safe weekend everyone.

Feasted at KFC

I have no plan going out today but my sister-in-law and brother went to the house. So, we went to the mall near to us. After strolling and buying some clothes for the kids we decided to eat first before strolling again. My sister-in-law won some bucks in a contest here in blogosphere. She said she will treat us so we decided to eat at KFC or Kentucky Fried Chicken. We ate their famous chicken, funshots for Kyla, chicken Caesar salad and chicken burger. I always love to dine here at KFC because I love their chicken and their deeply loved gravy. You can make their gravy as viand already and you can have as much as you want because it’s unlimited unlike other fast food restaurants. Anyway, we were all satiated and I was thankful because Kyla and I eat our merienda/snack for free, heheh.

I was just curious about KFC reason for me to know where it was started and according to Wikipeadia – KFC, founded and also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, is a chain of fast food restaurants based in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. KFC has been a brand and operating segment, termed a concept of Yum! Brands since 1997 when that company was spun off from PepsiCoas Tricon Global Restaurants Inc.

KFC primarily sells chicken pieces, wraps, salads and sandwiches. While its primary focus is fried chicken, KFC also offers a line of grilled and roasted chicken products, side dishes and desserts. Outside the USA, KFC offers beef based products such as hamburgers or kebabs, poutine, pork based products such as ribs and other regional fare.

It’s more fun in the Philippines

It’s more fun in the Philippines is the new slogan of the Department of Tourism to increase number of foreign visitors in our country. According to their official website (still working) wherever you go in the Philippines, it’s the Filipinos will make your holiday unforgettable. Just ask anyone who’s been here. Lonely Planet guidebook calls us “among the most easygoing and ebullient people anywhere”. For me, this slogan means that we Filipinos are very hospitable and jolly to be with and we make fun even from the simplest thing. We are good in accepting visitors whether kababayans (fellowmen) or foreigners. We are jolly person even though we have so many problems but still happy despite of.

Anyway, they said this slogan was copied from the old slogan of Switzerland“It’s more fun inSwitzerland” way back 1951. For me copied or not I guess we are entitled to use this slogan as long as we show how fun staying here in the Philippines. There are negative and positive thoughts about this new slogan but for me I guess we should give this slogan a chance. This is very simple but true and authentic; it is really fun in the Philippines and we can easily show this in many ways because we are happy person. I hope this new campaign will boost foreign visitors. Let them experience how fun staying here and see our beautiful spots.

Traveling RC Style

It’s true that radio control vehicles only travel very short distances. Still, they are fun and they do, in fact, go from place to place. That’s close enough to actual travel to get our attention here.

RC cars haha have been developed over the course of many decades from technology originally created by Thomas Edison’s famous — and many say more inventive — rival, Nicolai Tesla. The technology was fostered by others for both peaceful and wartime use for several decades, until it emerged in the form of toys from Japan during the 1950s. Popular with both hobbyists and toy lovers of all ages, some are so intricately styled and maneuverable that it’s often hard to tell them from real cars in photographs or videos, at least if how big they are in comparison to other objects isn’t immediately apparent.

RC trucks run the gamut of automotive styles. Still, the racier models tend to get most of the attention. In any case, we’re not sure what the most appealing aspect is of these cars, their speed or the miracle of technology that allows us to operate a vehicle by the use of invisible radio waves.

And, yes it’s true that these miniature cars can operate in all kinds of rugged environments, including snow and sand as shown in the above two photographs. It’s really kind of amazing how maneuverable the best of these cars can be and it’s hard to imagine them finding a terrain they are unable to traverse.

The fact of the matter is that cheap RC cars would actually be pretty reasonable ways to travel for real if it weren’t for the fact that even the smallest human beings are much too big to ride in them. Oh, and then there’s the whole issue with having some giant sized hobbyist telling us where we have to go by radio control.
