An Enchanting Journey in Orlando

Orlando is a large city located in the Orange County, Florida and this city is largely known for its theme parks. A lot of tourists come here for the theme parks and it is estimated that over 50 million visitors come to this region every year, making it one of the top tourist destination in the world. It is advised that you come to Orlando from September to February as there are fewer tourists during this time and the weather is more favourable for you to go around and see what Orlando city has to offer.

There are two airports that serve Florida and both of them are really busy airports which cater flights from various places in the world like Ireland, Canada, United Kingdom and Brazil. If you do not know where to stay in Florida, there is a full-sized hotel inside the airport itself to make sure that you have a place to sleep for the night. For travelling, you can use the public buses or you can also use cars from car hire Orlando. This car hire service is a great company that is highly regarded as the best car hire service in Orlando. Therefore, you can use the cars here with ease and without fear of being scammed as all their cars are of high quality and properly maintained.

It would be a shame if you come to Orlando but did not visit the Universal Studios. This theme park first opened to the public in the year 1990 and continues to attract more and more customers each year.  There are exactly 50 rides in the theme park which is built based on movies and TV shows like The Simpsons, Jaws, The Mummy and Fear Factor. Aside from the rides, Universal Studios also features events throughout the year; with the biggest one held in April and May which is the Grad Bash and Grad Venture. This event is specially made for those graduating from high school or middle school where there will be parties and live performances by popular musicians.

Orlando is a great place to visit because of the Universal Studios theme park where this theme park alone receives ten percent of the total tourists that come to this city. However, always bring a water bottle everywhere as Orlando is also known as a place with high temperature most of the year and do not ever leave any of your friends or families inside the car without turning on the air conditioner.

St. Ferdinand Cathedral in Lucena City

Photos below were captured in Parish church of St. Ferdinand Cathedral in Lucena City. This church was founded in the year 1881. The first Parish priest here is Fr. Mariano Granja, wherein a street in Lucena was named after him. In 1882, the construction of this church was started and completed in 1884. But something happened in the year 1887 because it was destroyed by fire but was rebuilt in the same year.

St. Ferdinand Cathedral is our main church here in Lucena but there are other churches in some barangays. But Lucenahin are comfortable visiting this church because it is located in downtown.

There are numerous old-growth trees here and parking lots. So worry free if you have car because there is space available while you are attending mass or just simply visiting the church.

Anyway, I captured these photos  couple of days ago after I spent some minutes of giving my prayer. Second photo is inside of the church. Everyday this church is open to all. So everytime i am in downtown i normally pass by here.

How to get here: If you are in Lucena, it is easy to come here. Just ask for direction of “bayan” or simply ride in jeepney who has bayan sign. Ask to drop you in St. Ferdinand Church. In front of this is Jollibee Fast Food store.

Silangang Nayon, Pagbilao Quezon

Yesterday we went to Silangang Nayon to celebrate my sister’s birthday.  Silangang Nayon is a fine dining restaurant located in Pagbilao, Quezon few minutes away from our place in Lucena City.

What is nice about Silangang Nayon is you can eat on a floating restaurant. So while waiting for your foods to serve enjoy first the beautiful sceneries around.

At the back is the floating restaurant

Many people are dreaming of traveling around the world. I must say I’m one of them so given a chance I will visit Orlando Florida. I heard so many beautiful places to visit in this country. So if my dream would come true I think my first destination would be Disneyland in Orlando Florida. Why? because I have preschooler daughter so for sure she will be very blissful if we visit Disney. No worry about place to stay because there are lots of  Orlando Hotels near in Disney. Well, I heard that aside from huge number of hotel in Florida; vacation homes, condo hotels and villas with private pools are also available. So it depends on your preference place to stay.

How I wish that my dream will come true in the near future. Sometimes we need to unwind and for me Orlando Florida is a must to visit. Anyway, I will first like the page of Orlando in Facebook so when time comes I will be very familiar with the things to do in Orlando.

In Puerto Galera

This is my entry to the Week 23 of Techie She Weekly Giveaways. This week’s lucky blogger will win $10 Paypal credits from borris of  Snapshots as They Happen.

While browsing my photo files I saw these photos. These photos were taken in Puerto Galera last summer. We have number of photo souvenirs on that place. I remember in our last day in Puerto Galera we had the chanced to take photos with local celebrities. They are Rainier Castillo, Bugoy Drilon and Liezel Garcia; Rainier was first seen on GMA 7 when he joined StarStruck while Bugoy and Liezel joined Pinoy Dream Academy season 2 on ABS-CBN.

Anyway, these photos were taken in Puerto Galera also. For me  SNAPSHOTS photos of my daughter here are cute. Looking at her laughing and giggling made me so happy that day =). Now, i’m thinking why she’s so happy on these photos, lol!

Christmas Village Display

Province of Quezon; this is the place where I am right now. This signage looks actual but this is just miniature. The vehicles passing are miniature too. This is part of almost 1000 miniature figurines Christmas Village Display in the province of Quezon. The miniatures are collection of the mother of current Governor of Quezon Province. This was featured in TV Patrol last month. They said this Christmas village Display will undertake every year that was started last year.

It’s more fun in the Philippines

It’s more fun in the Philippines is the new slogan of the Department of Tourism to increase number of foreign visitors in our country. According to their official website itsmorefuninthephilippines.com (still working) wherever you go in the Philippines, it’s the Filipinos will make your holiday unforgettable. Just ask anyone who’s been here. Lonely Planet guidebook calls us “among the most easygoing and ebullient people anywhere”. For me, this slogan means that we Filipinos are very hospitable and jolly to be with and we make fun even from the simplest thing. We are good in accepting visitors whether kababayans (fellowmen) or foreigners. We are jolly person even though we have so many problems but still happy despite of.

Anyway, they said this slogan was copied from the old slogan of Switzerland“It’s more fun inSwitzerland” way back 1951. For me copied or not I guess we are entitled to use this slogan as long as we show how fun staying here in the Philippines. There are negative and positive thoughts about this new slogan but for me I guess we should give this slogan a chance. This is very simple but true and authentic; it is really fun in the Philippines and we can easily show this in many ways because we are happy person. I hope this new campaign will boost foreign visitors. Let them experience how fun staying here and see our beautiful spots.

Traveling RC Style

It’s true that radio control vehicles only travel very short distances. Still, they are fun and they do, in fact, go from place to place. That’s close enough to actual travel to get our attention here.

RC cars haha have been developed over the course of many decades from technology originally created by Thomas Edison’s famous — and many say more inventive — rival, Nicolai Tesla. The technology was fostered by others for both peaceful and wartime use for several decades, until it emerged in the form of toys from Japan during the 1950s. Popular with both hobbyists and toy lovers of all ages, some are so intricately styled and maneuverable that it’s often hard to tell them from real cars in photographs or videos, at least if how big they are in comparison to other objects isn’t immediately apparent.

RC trucks run the gamut of automotive styles. Still, the racier models tend to get most of the attention. In any case, we’re not sure what the most appealing aspect is of these cars, their speed or the miracle of technology that allows us to operate a vehicle by the use of invisible radio waves.

And, yes it’s true that these miniature cars can operate in all kinds of rugged environments, including snow and sand as shown in the above two photographs. It’s really kind of amazing how maneuverable the best of these cars can be and it’s hard to imagine them finding a terrain they are unable to traverse.

The fact of the matter is that cheap RC cars would actually be pretty reasonable ways to travel for real if it weren’t for the fact that even the smallest human beings are much too big to ride in them. Oh, and then there’s the whole issue with having some giant sized hobbyist telling us where we have to go by radio control.

Meralco “Maliwanang ang Pasko”

When we went to Manila last week we had the chance to visit the main of Meralco along Pasig. We are amazed with their Christmas decorations. The place is surrounded of different lights and eye-catching decorations. Check these photos and be amazed.

And by the way, you may want to participate in Meralco’s campaign “Maliwanag ang Pasko”.  Participants are able to help underprivileged kids to have a brighter Christmas. Just like Meralco Facebook Fan Page and submit a picture of your house decorated with Christmas lights. Meralco aims to send 1,000 kids to school after the campaign. Just one photo and someone else’s life could be so easy.

My share for this week’s Orange Tuesday.
